American musician Bert McCracken is best known as the lead singer of The Used rock band. He had pretty wild childhood and a rough start before his music career but pursued his dream. As of 2016, McCracken’s total net worth is estimatedly $1 million. How did he achieve such a fortunet?
Bert was born on February 25th, 1982, in Provo, Utah. His parents raised him in a Mormon family together with four siblings. When he was twelve, he started plying trumpet in a local band named I’m With Stupid. As a teenager, he rebelled against the religion of his parents, which ended with dropping out of school and leaving home at the age of 16.
After being homeless for a short time, he was able to rent an apartment together with his girlfriend. In 2001, Bert joined the band named Dumb Luck and they renamed themselves Used. After discovering there already was a band of this name, they renamed the band The Used. They signed to Reprise Records and released a self-titled album in June 2002.
