Rebecca June “Bec” Hewitt (nee Cartwright; produced 23 July 1983) can be an Australian actress and vocalist. From 1998 to 2005, Hewitt played with Hayley Smith Lawson about the soap opera Home and Absent. As Bec Cartwright, Hewitt launched an eponymous popular song album in 2002. In 2005, she wed professional tennis player, Lleyton Hewitt.

Career

Cartwright started her performing career at age 5 for television commercials. In 1992, she made her mainstream television debut on an occurrence of Police Rescue. She’s also guest starred in Roar and Water Rats.

She won best known role and her breakout role to date in 1998 impersonating Hayley Smith Lawson on Home and Absent. Cartwright earned numerous Logie Award nominations to herself until 2005 and became a show fan favourite she gained a Most Popular Actress win.
