2013–present: It’s About Us
Following their triumph on The X Factor, Sierra & Alex declared they’d be making their debut record ‘fast’ and ‘right’. They’ve been working with Toby Gad, Sam Watters, John Shanks, Julian Bunetta, Jason Mraz, and Grammy award winning singer/songwriter John Legend on the record. On May 3, 2014, Alex & Sierra shown their debut single, “Scarecrow”. The musical video featuring puppets rather than the singers was launched on May 27, 2014. The tune was launched to iTunes on June 23, 2014. ‘Scarecrow’ was marketed on the day of the iTunes launch having a performance to the Today Show. It offered 30,000 copies in its very first week of launch. The musicvideo for Scarecrow was launched on July 11, 2014. The following day, Alex & Sierra declared the name and graphics of their debut record, “It’s About Us.” Alongside the preorder of the record on July 15, “Small Do You Know” was made accessible as a promotional single. “Only Children” may be the next promotional simple, and was opened on August 4, 2014. On August 24, “Bumper Cars” was launched whilst the next promotional single. Fourteen days after, on September 17, “Here We Proceed” was launched whilst the next promotional simple and peaked at # 4 about the iTunes singles graphs.
