Rod Parsley Net Worth
Famous televangelist Rod Parsley is also a senior pastor of World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio. Same as some other pastors from large and affluent ministries, Parsley faced several times to criticism about alleged lavish lifestyle. But don’t forget to distinguish between his personal wealth and assets of his church. Parsley’s personal net worth is estimated to be about $2.2 million.
Rod was born January 13, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. He studied at former Circleville Bible College (now existing under new name Ohio Christian University). He got there his Bachelor of Arts in Ministry degree. He also holds two honorary doctorates. Popular televangelist Lester Sumrall became his mentor and they both traveled and preached often together.
He married his girlfriend Joni in 1986. She gave birth to their two kids, son Austin and daughter Ashton. Parsley serves as a senior pastor of a large Pentecostal church named World Harvest Church. He’s also an author of several well-selling books, such as Silent No More and Culturally Incorrect.
In 2010, his request for a new airplane for travelling between churches caught media attention and some accusations about allegedly too lavish lifestyle emerged. Parsley insisted that airplane isn’t a luxury item but a necessity. Ministry already had one that he used for church’s purposes but it had almost 500,000 miles. It should be replaced for a another used one (not brand new) and by doing so, the church could limit expenses on fuel and maintenance and in fact save a big time.
