Lindsey Stirling was born on September 21st, 1986, in Santa Ana, California. She grew up in modest family with financial limitations and her parents could afford paying violin teacher only for half lessons. She started her lessons when she was five. On high school, when she was sixteen, Lindsey joined a rock band, Stomp on Melvin, where she experienced writing a solo violin song for the first time. She won Arizona’s Junior Miss with this song.
Besides her violin lessons, Lindsey was always fascinated by dancing. But she had to choose between violin and dance because her parents couldn’t afford both.
