Kevin O’Leary aka Mr Wonderful Net Worth
Kevin O’Leary is known also under his nickname Mr Wonderful is a rich entrepreneur, venture capitalist, ETF manager, and television personality. He became famous as one of the investors on reality series Shark Tank. As of 2016, O’Leary’s total net worth is approximately $400 million.
Kevin was influenced by investing since an early age. His mother invested large portion of her income into large cap dividend shares. While still pursuing his MBA degree, Kevin started his first company. It was a television production firm that he eventually sold for a modest profit. His second try was much more successful.
O’Leary started educational software company named SoftKey in late 1980’s and it’s success led to number of large acquisitions. The Learning Company (how it was renamed later) was eventually sold to Mattel for amazing $4.2 billion. O’Leary hold still a major share at that point and so he became really Mr Wonderful. Today, he holds share in number of ventures and still searches for new investment opportunities on Shark Tank.
Mr Wonderful started his own mutual fund company in 2008. And most recently created O’Leary Funds Management LP, whoch is an exchange traded fund. Scope of O’Leary’s investing is broad and includes also physical gold which proved in the past to be a great hedge against inflation.
