Karnam Malleswari was born on 1st June 1975. She is reputable known as the retired Indian weightlifter. She has been much known for her winning victory in the title in the 54 kg division in the years 1994 and 1995. She has been even placed up at the spot of third in the same competition in the years 1993 and 1996. In the year 1995 she was honored up with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna. In the year 1999 the civilian Padma Shri award was given away to Karnam Malleswari. In her siblings she has four sisters and all of them are trained in weightlifting. In the year 1997 she got married a fellow weightlifter Rajesh Tyagi. In the year 2001 her very first child was born. In the year 2002 she made her way back inside the sports world with the 2002 Commonwealth Games. She decided to take the retirment soon after failing to score at the 2004 Olympics. She takes her husband to be the real support for her career because throughout her whole career she has been given the best support from her. She has no such plans to once again make her way back inside the sports world.
