Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Plastic Surgery Before and After
Early Life and Success in Modeling
Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley was born on April 18, 1987 in Plymouth, Devon, England to fitness instructor Fiona and chartered surveyor Charles Andrew Huntington-Whiteley. She was raised on a farm near Tavistock, Devon and was educated at Tavistock College.
At age 15, while still a student, she worked at the West End, London-based model agency Profile. After graduating in 2003, she was signed at age 16. Her first modeling gig was for a Levi’s jeans commercial. The following year, she made her breakthrough in the fashion world when she posed for Teen Vogue in New York.
Shortly after, she made her catwalk debut alongside Naomi Campbell in spring of 2004. She was also photographed by American fashion photographer for Abercrombie & Fitch.
In 2006, fashion experts called her “the next Kate Moss” and was chosen as one of five international models to look out for in the next 12 months. Later that year, she was signed to American lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret, making her debut for the brand’s show in Los Angeles.
In 2008, she gained recognition outside the fashion industry when she was selected to replace Agyness Deyn for Burberry’s autumn/winter campaign alongside actor Sam Riley. She then graced the cover of British Vogue in its November 2008 issue. In 2009, she was chosen as the face of Karen Millen’s spring/summer ad campaign.
Later in 2009, she was awarded an Elle Style Award for Model of the Year and appeared in a short film for Agent Provocateur. In early 2010, she officially became a Victoria’s Secret Angel, modeling for the brand in New York City and gaining mainstream fame.
Later in 2010, she was photographed by noted photographer Terry Richardson in a nude shot. In Milan, she walked the runway for Prada and for Giles Deacon in Paris. She was then featured on the covers of Harper’s Bazaar Russia and GQ UK for the magazines’ May 2010 issues.
She has since appeared on the cover of LOVE Magazine’s September issue, modeled for Burberry and was featured in ad campaigns for such brands as Loewe, Thomas Wylde, and Leon Max. To recognize her work in the fashion industry, fashion photographer Rankin devoted a book entirely to her called Ten Times Rosie.
In March 2011, she achieved further prominence as a model after she landed her first solo British Vogue cover. The following month, she was voted Number 1 in Maxim Magazine’s “Hot 100” list. She also reached atop FHM’s World’s Sexiest Woman poll that same year.
Subsequent Projects and Cosmetic Procedures
Also in 2011, she was chosen to replace actress Megan Fox as the new female lead in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Most of the critics were critical of her acting and her chemistry with co-star Shia LaBeouf. Critic Lou Lumenick said that her “‘acting’ makes…Megan Fox look like Meryl Streep in comparison”.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon generally received mixed reviews from critics but became a major box office success with its worldwide gross of over 1 billion on a budget of $195 million.
For her performance, Huntington-Whiteley won a CinemaCon Award Female Star of Tomorrow and received nominations such as a Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer Female Movie Star. However, she also received a Golden Raspberry Award nomination for Worst Supporting Actress.
While the English model and actress gained mainstream stardom for her work, she also sparked rumors of having cosmetic enhancements when some observers took noticed of her improved appearance. According to reports, Huntington-Whiteley has had some procedures done before she starred in the third installment of the Transformers film series.
Was this some sort of preparation for her big screen debut to make sure she looks perfect? Probably. The reports are saying that the English beauty had some lip fillers to add a seductive touch to her look. Such rumors are strong, showing Huntington-Whiteley’s previous lips, which were thinner, far different from her fuller and pouty lips in the present.
