Monali Thakur is currently one of the fastest rising and one of the popular Indian female playback singer. She has been singing for the time since she was a child. She was raised up in a complete musical environment and family background. She even took part in the popular singing reality TV show program on Sony Entertainment Channel, Indian Idol season 2. She made herself very much famous with the melodious song “Moh Moh ke Dhaage” from Dum Laga Ke Haisha movie. Monali Thakur was born on 3rd November 1985. She was born and raised up in the place of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She has finished with her degree of BA in English Honours from St. Xavier’s College at Kolkata. Then later one she started taking training in the Hindustani classical music under the supervision of the Pandit Jagdish Prasad and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. She has even taken training in the hip-hop and Bharatanatyam and is also a trained Salsa dancer. She was even captured up as being one of the judge of singing reality TV show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs”. She told in one of the interviews that she has been involved in the singing since the time of school and she was very much active in singing competitions.
