Dee-1 was born on April 10th, 1988, in New Orleans, Louisiana, as David Augustine. At high school, he was a basketball player. He also started rapping during his studies. Dee-1 released his first mixtape, It’s Only Tha Beginning, in 2004. After his graduation, David started working as a math teacher.
