Busy Signal was born as Glendale Goshia Gordon on January 24th, 1982, in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica as Glendale Goshia Gordon. He studied at Brown’s Town Comprehensive High School. His music career has been shining since 2003. He released two albums, the debut album titled Step Out in 2005 and Loaded in 2008. His single Step Out became one of the best dancehall songs in that year.
His nickname Busy Signal was gave him by his friends because he was busy all the time. His most successful tracks are Smoke Some High Grade, Nah Go A Jail Again, Tic Toc, Unknown Number, Jail, Whine Pon Di Edge, People So Evil, Hustle Hard, and These Are the Days. Beside his income from music, he also has his own clothing line, which he introduced in 2001.
In 2012, Busy Signal was arrested at the airport and was charged because of cocaine possession. Then he received a prison sentence for six months. Soon after his releasing, he released the new single titled Come Shock Out. In 2012 and 2013, he collaborated on singles Push and Shove with No Doubt and Major Lazer and Watch Out for This with Major Lazer.
