Gurdaspur city,which is a small city of Punjab had to face a brutal terrorist attack on 27th July,2015 (Monday).This attack happened on the morning of Monday (5:30 am).This attack actually happened in Dinanagar town (part of Gurdaspur district).Twitter flooded with tweets related to this event.

SEQUENCE OF THE EVENTS RELATED WITH THIS TERRORIST ATTACK :

According to media,three terrorists attacked a bus in Dinanagar town coming from Jammu Kashmir.Many people got injured in this attack.
Then came the news that 5 live bombs have been found near Dinanagar Railway track (as per IB).
Then they attacked a roadside eatery and took over a Maruti Suzuki 800 car with Punjab’s registration number from a resident of Punjab and killed him.
And then these terrorists reached their ultimate destination,The Dinanagar police station.Till now 3 civilians have been killed.Terrorists then took control over dinanagar police station which resulted in sad demise of shaheed SP (detective) Baljeet singh.A total of 6 persons including SP died.

Terrorists came in military uniform.
The whole operation was performed by SWAT team of Punjab police,NSG and BSF.
Chinese guns have been found from these terrorists.
2 GPS and modern deadly weapons have also been found from them.

Although police showed a big heart and fought bravely but some of India’s former military officers criticized police action for being slow,unplanned.Police was not equipped with better equipment which even led to death of SP Baljeet Singh.This was not as major attack as compared to Mumbai attack in which Ajmal Qasab was captured.Military officer said,if response was better,damaged could have been reduced.
